ACER platanoides ‘Deborah’

Maple –

0409 “Norway maple is a fast-growing deciduous shade tree native to Europe but naturalized in the United States and other areas. The cultivar ‘Deborah’ has a dense rounded canopy and attractive wavy-edged leaves that are burgundy in spring, become bronze-green in summer, and turn orange-yellow in the fall. The clustered yellow-green flowers – which are more abundant and conspicuous than those of many maples – are followed by winged brown seeds.

Norway maple is very tolerant of a wide range of sites and conditions but does best in locations with full sun to part shade and well-drained average soil. Its dense roots and shade and its penchant for prolific self-sowing make it a poor choice for gardens and natural areas. This tough and adaptable tree does well in urban settings.”
