Acer grandidentatum is a native to the western US and is usually found growing along stream beds. The foliage of the Rocky Mountain glow is beautiful summer and fall and is well suited to cold, dry regions. The large leaves of the Acer grandidentatum are three to five lobed with a blunted tip. Typically with red leaves in the fall, there may be hues of yellow or pinkish-red as well. As a hardy tree, the Rocky Mountain Glow Maple is hardy and tolerant of high alkalinity in our soils. Plant in full sun, with moist soil and excellent drainage.
