SYMPHORICARPOS x chenaultii ‘Hancock’

Coralberry –

0388 “A dense low-growing deciduous shrub that is excellent for covering ground in partial shade, ‘Hancock’ bears handsome small bluish green leaves from spring to frost and occasionally displays dark pink fruits in autumn. Its hummocking prostrate branches eventually form a low mound many times broader than tall. The small pinkish late-summer flowers are inconspicuous. When produced, the pea-sized fruits cluster towards the ends of the branches, providing a modest display best appreciated at close range.

Plant ‘Hancock’ in any average, reasonably well-drained soil in sun or shade. In cool summer climes, give it plenty of sun, but in hot regions partial to nearly full shade is recommended. Use it in the mixed shrub border, as a tall groundcover, or to cover a gentle berm.”
