Jacob’s Ladder –
Best known for its fern-like foliage and attractive upright flower spikes. Distinctive divided leaves consisting of delicate leaflets are displayed as a ladder effect on either side of the stems. Blooms early summer.
Fine texture of lacy variegated foliage that forms a low mound. The foliage is green with a narrow bright white edge. Pink buds open to pale blue flowers, blooms early to midsummer, deer resistant.

Phlox – In light shade creeping phlox has flattish flowers in pinks, blues, and white that mix well with those of blue Jacob’s ladder.
Candytuft – The dark leaves and dramatic white flower heads of perennial candytuft provide a strong foil for Jacob’s ladder in sun.
