Sun Rose –
There are over 200 species of these evergreen, compact shrubs. Great for rock gardens, edging, borders or let them cascade over walls. Flowers resemble wild roses that bloom against small-sized matte foliage. Drought tolerant. Bloom time is early summer. Naturally resists deer and rabbits. Good for small scale groundcover. Likes dry, poor soils.
These plants have a spreading habit. They’re easy to care for. Shear lightly (3″”) after blooming to maintain a tight growth habit and encourage reblooming. Good for hot dry areas.
This selection has single soft primrose-yellow flowers, over a mound of silvery-grey foliage. Trim plants lightly immediately after blooming to prevent opening up in the middle. Evergreen in most areas. Drought tolerant, once established, these will also put up with poor, sandy soils.”
