We just received a new batch of Lavender Twist Weeping Redbuds. These are beautiful, well established trees that will be a delight in any landscape.
Redbuds are tough native American trees, but the twisted weeping variety takes the genus to a new level with its unique weeping and twisting branches cascading toward the ground. This tree contributes something to your garden during all four seasons. In spring, each branch is completely covered with lavender flowers. Summer brings large heart-shaped leaves which spill down the stems in a rich green waterfall. Foliage in the fall is a bright yellow. Winter provides a display of gracefully weeping branches, adding interest to your yard. Twisted Redbuds grow 5-6′ tall and 6-8′ wide and are great in a limited space. Little maintenance is required, although it does need to be watered regularly during the first year of root establishment.
