Most of these plants are from South Africa. They’re a tight mat forming groundcover. Thick fleshy shiny green leaves that may be rounded, flattened or angled. Blooms open around midday and close in the evening, only last one day. These plants are heavy blooming, tough succulents. Drought tolerant. Blooms late spring to summer. Deer resistant.
Shocking color combination, green-apple foliage makes a glistening, fast spreading carpet that keeps its shiny presence throught winter, masses of dark orange, pink, and white flowers in spring but keep blooming sporadically through summer.

Veronica – The upright spires of spike speedwell create a striking contrast to the low, creeping mat of hardy ice plant.
Sedum – The succulent foliage of ‘Blue Spruce’ sedum mimics that of hardy ice plant but in a finer texture.
