0084 In New Zealand, this palm-like tree can grow as tall as 10-15 feet in height. The flowers are sweetly fragrant, followed by small green berries that turn cream or purple.
This species is the most cold hardy and is used extensively in the landscape.
Plum purple, sword-shaped leaves can reach 3 feet long. Mature specimens have thick trunks with foliage at the top resembling palm trees. Often used as houseplants. Can grow 15-30 feet and 6-10 feet wide. Beautiful accent plant.
